Shipping Setup
Shipping Setup takes 1 shipment on 1 route from forwarder options to documents ready, across 4 working sessions in two weeks.
You have a supplier, an order and no shipping arrangement. Every forwarder sounds the same on the phone, the terms are unfamiliar, and the first shipment is the one where mistakes cost the most.
The cheap way out is to let the supplier arrange everything and take their CIF price. It looks free. It is not: you inherit their forwarder, their agent at your port, and destination charges you never agreed and cannot argue with. We put 3 forwarder options in front of you for your route, settle the route and cost in writing, get the documents in order, and walk the booking with you stage by stage.
Price: $2,500 — fixed price. Turnaround: 2 weeks, in stages.
The verdict you get: Closes with a clear GEB verdict at the end of the stages — book it as set up, change one thing first, or hold this shipment — plus the risk we would watch while it moves. Not a data dump; a decision.
What you receive
- 3 forwarder options for 1 route, quoted on the same terms
- 4 working sessions across 2 weeks, each with a written summary
- Route, service and cost settled and confirmed in writing
- The document set for 1 shipment checked before the goods move
- The booking walked through with you, step by step
Best for
- A first shipment where nothing is set up yet
- Moving off supplier-arranged CIF onto your own terms
- Importers who want someone alongside them, not a report
Not for: GEB is not a freight forwarder or a customs broker. We do not carry goods, file entries or control what a carrier does once the booking is made, and no sailing date or transit time can be guaranteed. If you also need codes, duties and clearance documents handled, take Freight and Customs Setup instead.
Natural next step: Freight and Customs Setup.
Frequently asked questions
What happens in the 4 sessions?
One to set the brief and the route. One to review forwarder options. One to settle terms and cost. One to check documents and walk the booking.
Why two weeks and not two days?
Forwarders take days to quote, and quotes have to be rebuilt on the same terms before they can be compared. The stages match how the market actually replies.
Do you speak to the forwarder for me?
We prepare what to ask and sit alongside you, working from the details in the checkout questionnaire. You keep the relationship and you sign the contract.
