The Factory Quality Review is a deeper on-site review of a factory's quality system for a supplier you plan to keep using.

You have run three orders with this factory. Each one had a different problem, and each time you were told it would not happen again. You cannot tell whether this is a factory that has a bad week now and then, or a factory that has no quality system at all.

Inspection sold by the man-day buys you a checklist filled in by whoever was free that week. That answers whether one shipment is acceptable. It does not answer whether this supplier can be trusted for the next two years. One named GEB reviewer spends a full day inside the factory, looks at how the place actually controls its own work, and writes down a judgement — with their name on it, and nothing sold to the factory afterwards.
